On my live edge basswood plaques, I can recreate and preserve the handwriting of a loved one. Many choose the option of a loved ones recipe, but I am open to additional ideas. Many of the recipes I have replicated were originally written in the early 1900's. All I need is a scanned copy of the original recipe, which will need to be emailed to me. I can also add a small graphic on the piece that ties in with the type of recipe.
Note* Small graphics are an extra charge. This could be something representative of the recipe. Sausage links, Banana, Chili Pepper etc.
Post burn, I clear these pieces entirely with 4 coats of a water-based clear. This protects the piece from absorbing moisture, the design, and it also seals the bark from flaking off.
